Jobin Machine, Inc. of West Hartford, CT is seeking a Quality Engineer
The qualified candidate will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline preferred
- 7-10 years working in quality and 5 plus years in a Quality Engineer/Quality Inspector position
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment required
- Proficient with layout inspection, tools, techniques, blue print interpretation and GD&T
- Familiar with ASQR-01 and related requirements with United Technologies preferred
- Must speak, comprehend, write and read English
- Must have a high sense of urgency and the ability to meet schedule requirements
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the collection, analysis and reporting of statistical data to promote manufacturing and process improvements.
- Hands-on involvement in all aspects of the quality assurance and inspection functions

Description:
Jobin Machine, Inc. of West Hartford, CT is seeking a Quality Control Inspector
The qualified candidate should have extensive experience with all aspects of 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections of a variety of machined components. Inspects, audits, and reports on materials, processes, and products using variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance of customer defined requirements and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 plus years- layout inspection experience using shadowgraphs, height gauges, sine plates, Johnson gauges, sunnen gauges, etc.
- A good knowledge of Shop Math and GD&T
- Familiar with calibration systems and techniques
- Experience working in aerospace manufacturing desired
- Intimate knowledge of AS9102, AS9100 , ISO 9001,
- Familiar with ASQR-01 and related requirements with Pratt & Whitney preferred

This role is responsible for producing CNC programs, Tooling Sheet, Setting Sheets and general engineering support. Task and responsibilities to include:
- Provide an offline programming service for the shop floor
- Create method sheets, tooling sheets, planning and process drawings, jig and fixture drawings and assist in the management and predictability of consumable tooling
- Design all jigs and fixtures required for manufacture.
- Responsible for maintaining CNC program database
- Collect set-up and cycle times
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Technical or Engineering discipline
- 7-10 years working in engineering and manufacturing
- Experience working in aerospace manufacturing required
- Familiar with a dynamic fast paced job shop environment
- Intimate knowledge of CNC programming for milling and turning
- Familiar with Mastercam 2018, SpaceClaim, 3D Modeling, etc.

Suitable candidates will be able to program CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes efficiently using the ladev version of Mastercam software. Must have Aerospace industry experience and be comfortable working with difficult materials and tight tolerances. Solid knowledge of CNC machines and standard machine shop equipment including Hass CNC mills & Okuma lathes, Turn mill experience a plus.

The desired candidate should be familiar with 3 and 4-axis milling machines; CAD/CAM technologies, have good math and problem solving skills and be able to work independently and assist and lead others. The desired candidate should have experience in blue print reading and interpretation and have a general understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Candidate will be responsible for both visual and dimensional verification of their work using various inspection gages and tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years experience
- A technical degree or background from vocational school, technical or community college is desirable.

Description:
Jobin Machine, Inc. of West Hartford, CT is seeking a CNC Machining Leadman – 2nd Shift
We are looking for an individual who can assist our operators with and solve production machining problems, do in-process and 1st piece inspection, and is also capable of doing set-up and running machines.Â
This shift would be 2 pm – 10 pm to allow an overlap with 1st shift management.
Responsibilities:Â
- Ability to setup Haas CNC Mills and/or Okuma CNC Lathes (Fixturing, jaws, load programs, etc.)
- Setup required tooling
- Utilize basic programming and editing skills
- Assist operators with machining problems
- Producing first pieces which meet specification requirements
- Perform 1st piece inspection
- Review written documentation of setups and make corrections as required and work with Engineering to bring consistency to processes
- Have the skillset to set up the necessary gaging for any job including dial bores, Sunnnen gages and thread gages
- Ensure operators accurately fill out paperwork
- Work with operators to ensure part inspection is done correctly
- Ensure the operators maintain a clean work area and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Must be able to work well with and communicate effectively with co-workers
 Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of G-code programming language
- Knowledge of machining processes
- Knowledge of blueprint reading & interpretation include GD&T
- Able to read & write English
- Use all types of variable measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Â Able to setup CNC Mills & Lathes
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with little supervision
- Ability to effectively communicate with Management, Engineering, and operators
- Strong problem-solving skillset
- 5+ years in a Lead machining position is desirable

The desirable candidate should poses the following qualifications:

- Have experience with Dot Peen, Electrolytic Etch, Vibro Peen, and 2D matrix marking
- A familiarity with Pratt & Whitney marking requirements
- A strong mechanical background is preferred
- Main responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Marking all components per customer requirements and verified marking cardss
- This position requires at least 1-3 years experience but we are willing to train the right person
